Do Roti Campaign
Sani Welfare Foundation was launched with the ‘Do Roti’ campaign, with an intent to provide free meals to as many hungry underprivileged people as possible.
Sani Welfare Foundation started as a proprietary self-funded organization – but later started accepting donations in kind and cash to expand its reach and provide nutritious meals to hundreds each day.
Under the Do Roti campaign, the foundation currently feeds 500–600 homeless and underprivileged individuals each day at 6 sites across Hyderabad. In stronger years, daily service reached 1,000–1,500 meals across multiple states.
Sani Welfare Foundation is in need of further funds and volunteer support to take this pious work forward and feed at least 10,000 impoverished people each day across 50 cities and towns of India. This translates to ~ 3.5 million free meals each year.
We plan to focus on less developed states of India – Orissa, Bihar, UP, Jharkhand, Chattisgarh, and West Bengal where thousands are reeling in abject poverty.
